This session takes a look at the overall state of IT policy requirements for higher ed institutions in Texas. We will look at the current state of the DIR information security controls catalog; new requirements for cybersecurity reporting and training recently passed by the Texas Legislature; revised compliance reporting requirements for Texas institutions of higher education; and the evolution of the annual risk assessment process. We’ll also talk about the integration of the new Rsam eGRC tool being used to enhance the risk assessment process at Texas A&M University in College Station, and give a preview of the Rsam interface for assessors and reviewers.
